PAINTING POETRY

In my Painting Poetry body of work from 2022 I aimed to capture the essence and feeling of ten of my poems through colour, abstraction, and graphic symbolism - paring things down to simple forms, and tuning into the colours that capture that memory. These poems were often inspired by memories. I made 10 acyrlic paintings on 10 x 10 inch wood panel and exhibited them at 4 Tuckey Street in Cork city as part of Poetry Day Ireland 2022.
